Dermatopathology Fellowship

Dermatopathology Fellowship

This one-year ACGME dermatopathology fellowship is sponsored jointly by the Departments of Dermatology and Pathology of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine. It is designed to provide intensive training in dermatopathology for board-certified/eligible graduates of Dermatology and Pathology programs.

Experience in the techniques of immunohistochemistry as it pertains to dermatopathology will be provided, as well as appropriate training in pathology for those with a dermatology background and in dermatology for pathology graduates. The fellow will be expected to identify areas of interest in the specialty and pursue them through a clinical/basic research project.
