Community Medicine Fellowship

The Kaiser Permanente Southern California Community Medicine Fellowship program offers seven Junior Faculty positions to graduates of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics residency programs.

The 13-month fellowship (July 1 – July 31) is full-time and pays $102,000. Benefits include medical/dental coverage, 3 weeks paid vacation, and 1 week paid educational leave.

Fellows will spend half of their time at their home medical center providing care to Kaiser Permanente Members and the other half will be spent focusing on community work, providing care, supervising residents and medical students, and working on projects at their settings.

The program prepares fellows to become clinical leaders, educators, and agents of positive change. Fellows care for underserved patients while working with community health leaders to improve healthcare delivery and outreach.

Prerequisites:

• Graduation from an ACGME-accredited residency program
• Successful completion of USMLE/COMLEX Boards
• California Medical License
• DEA certificate
• Other specialty-specific licenses
• Clearance of Kaiser Permanente employment screenings
