The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at UCLA sponsors a non-ACGME Fellowship in Perioperative Medicine with the mission of training board-eligible and board certified anesthesiologists in the management of the perioperative patient with a concentration on the Perioperative Surgical Home (PSH), Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS), and multidisciplinary perioperative management.
The fellowship is 12 months in length, but may be modified at the discretion of the Program Director with the fellow's agreement. The fellowship is flexibly tailored to each candidate, based on individual needs and desires, and upon the current needs of the department. Fellows will complete and submit an approved project in an area of interest, which will be presented to the department at a Grand Rounds prior to graduation from the program.
