We are seeking to fill an open position for the 2022-2023 bariatric & advanced MIS fellowship.
The accepted fellow will typically perform approximately 1200 laparoscopic and robotic cases during the year- roughly 70% bariatric operations with the remaining to include foregut and abdominal wall procedures. High-volume advanced endoscopies (bariatric revision, intragastric balloon, impedance planimetry and peroral endoscopic myotomy) are also performed.
This clinical fellowship (accreditation from the Fellowship Council pending) is appropriate for individuals who have completed a 5-year, ACGME-accredited general surgery residency. The incoming trainee will join 6 surgery faculty, 2 advanced practice providers, and ample support staff at our 620-bed academic medical center with Center of Excellence distinction. We cannot accept H-1 or J-1 visas. If you are not an American citizen, you must have a green card. You must have a New Jersey state medical license, as well as a CDS and a DEA license at least one month prior to the official start date of the fellowship.
