Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Fellowship

Our growing hospital has 945 beds and we currently perform 40 heart transplants and 30 long-term LVADs a year. Our ECMO volume is about 60 a year.

The heart failure fellow will receive training in all medical phases of cardiac transplantation and advanced circulatory support, will have procedural training in cardiac biopsy and percutaneous hemodynamic support devices. In addition the fellow will collaborate on scholarly projects with the HF and surgical faculty. Faculty in basic science labs are also available for collaborative projects. We have outstanding imaging program and structural heart disease program, including TAVR and Mitraclip.

Prerequisites:

Successful completion of an ACGME–accredited general cardiology fellowship
