Thoracic Pathology Fellowship

The Thoracic Pathology Fellowship is a Texas Medical Board-approved program offered by the Department of Pathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. The program consists of a one-year rotation at UT Southwestern Medical Center, including William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital and Parkland Health and Hospital System. There are approximately 3,000 thoracic pathology cases, 210 adult thoracic consults, 20 pediatric lung disease consults annually, and access to thoracic pathology material from approximately 150 adult autopsies.

Prerequisites:

  • Prospective candidates must have completed three years of Anatomic Pathology or four years of Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology ACGME-accredited residency.
  • Applicants must be board eligible or board certified in anatomic or anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology, and must be eligible for a medical license to practice in Texas by the beginning of the Fellowship Program.
  • Applicants must have passed USMLE or COMLEX step III. At this time we do not accept H1b visas.
