Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Research Fellowship

The Medical College of Wisconsin-Froedtert Hospital established a funded Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Research Fellowship within the Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. The program began July 2017 and spans two years. It provides opportunities for fellows to explore a variety of trauma/acute care surgery questions while learning how to design, conduct, analyze, present and publish research.

The group has a variety of research interests and can be tailored to the interests of the fellow. The division/department provides a strong research infrastructure that includes biostatistical support, grant management, and mentorship. We are looking for dynamic, motivated, and intellectually curious individuals for this program.

Prerequisites:

• In order to qualify you must be a categorical general surgery resident in good standing in U.S. or Canadian programs.
• International medical graduates are also encouraged to apply but must have a medical degree and speak fluent English.
• Although USMLE is not required for international graduates it is recommended for those who intend on applying for a U.S. residency at the completion of the fellowship.
