Advanced Echocardiography Fellowship

Advanced Echocardiography Fellowship

The Advanced Echocardiography Fellowship offers training in all aspects of echocardiography in a high-volume laboratory at one of the nation’s leading cardiology centers. Advanced echocardiography fellows will satisfy the requirements of level III training through performance and interpretation of transesophageal, transthoracic, and stress echocardiography. Fellows will also develop skill in 3D imaging and peri-procedural echocardiography.

Over the course of the one-year training program, advanced echocardiography fellows will gain expertise in imaging a wide variety of cardiovascular diseases, including cardiomyopathies, heart failure requiring advanced therapies (LVAD and other LV support devices), cardiac transplantation, congenital heart disease, complex cardiothoracic surgical cases, and valvular heart disease. Advanced fellows will also have exposure to intra-procedural echocardiography as they rotate through the cardiac cath lab and work with the structural imaging team.

In addition to clinical training, there is a tremendous opportunity for learning and mentorship from distinguished faculty through attending-led case discussions, journal clubs, and echo conferences.
