Plastic Surgery Experiential Training

UC Davis Health System's Division of Plastic Surgery is currently accepting applicants for a one year training opportunity for Plastic Surgery Experiential Training to start on July 1, 2020.

The trainee will evaluate and manage ER consultations during daytime hours under the supervision of the plastic surgery chief resident and attending surgeon. In addition, he or she will participate in the weekly teaching (grand rounds, morbidity & mortality meetings, indications conferences, journal club, etc.) and assist the plastic surgery team in the management of in-patients, operating rooms or clinics as needed. Overnight call for 5 to 7 nights per month may be required.

Opportunities for clinical and basic science research projects exist in the Division, and participation is encouraged but not required. Depending on the candidate's interest in research, protected time may be available. This opportunity would be most suitable for candidates looking to enhance their CV prior to applying for Plastic Surgery Residency positions.
