The University of Miami, Department of Physical Therapy – Sports Physical Therapy Residency Program is fully accredited. This 12-month program will offer physical therapists the ability to gain a variety of structured experiences in the sports and outpatient settings. Residents will complete didactic training at the University of Miami, Department of Physical Therapy on the Coral Gables campus.
Clinical mentoring takes place within the University of Miami’s Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and outpatient UHealth physical therapy clinics and will be led by experienced and board certified sports and orthopaedic specialists. There will be no tuition and residents will earn a salary with benefits. Residency graduates will be qualified to sit for the ABPTS SCS exam.
