Advanced IBD Preceptorship Fellowship

This is a 12-month postgraduate training program in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

The program is comprised of seeing inpatients and outpatients with inflammatory bowel disease under the supervision of GI faculty in the UCSD IBD Center.

At present, the Center's faculty are comprised of faculty from the Division of Gastroenterology: Siddharth Singh, MD (Director), Derek Patel, MD, Brigid Boland, MD, Parambir Dulai, MD and William J. Sandborn, MD. From the Department of Surgery: Sonia Ramamoorthy, MD and Samuel Eisenstein, MD, as well as gastrointestinal radiologists and pathologists.

The UCSD IBD Center also has a close link with Robarts Clinical Trials, which is a CRO owned by the University of Western Ontario and directed by Dr. Brian Feagan. Robarts Clinical Trials has an office in La Jolla, CA, and the fellow will have access to clinical research resources including statistical and data management support and research mentorship by Dr. Feagan through Robarts Clinical Trials.

Prerequisites:

To be eligible to apply to our program, applicants must have:

• Graduate from a three-year ACGME accredited gastroenterology training program.
• Board eligible or board certified in gastroenterology.
• Obtain a California medical license
