The Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program at Allegheny General Hospital has an immediate opening for a 2-year Vascular Surgery Fellow position starting July 1, 2022 in Pittsburgh, PA. Our highly operative program has enjoyed a distinct identity for over 20 years, and the practice has grown to encompass the both surgical and interventional procedures associated with vascular surgery The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery includes the divisions of Cardiac Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, and Vascular Surgery. Our faculty is committed to providing a robust, highly skilled educational experience in vascular surgery.
Our fellows are given the opportunity to rotate amongst several vascular surgery faculty members which enables exposure to a broad range of experience and teaching styles. The program emphasizes broad-based clinical training. It is based in two tertiary care hospitals and fellows will also rotate at two large community hospitals. We perform a large number of tertiary care cases, but we also have a strong representation of fundamental vascular surgery cases. Our graduates will be well positioned to treat both routine and complex vascular surgery cases that they will encounter in practice. Our previous fellows have graduated with between 800-1,000 cases and have pursued highly successful careers in both private and academic institutions across the country. Our commitment to developing our fellows in all facets of their education is paramount to providing an excellent clinical education. For additional details on the exceptional training experience we offer.
