General Surgical Residency

The Yale General Surgical Residency seeks to fill a PGY-2 preliminary general surgery position to start in mid-late June 2022.

Prerequisites:

Applicants should be no more than 2 years out of medical school and should expect to have completed internship at an ACGME-accredited surgical residency program by mid-June, 2022. For applicants in need of visa sponsorship, only J1s will be available.

• All available USMLE and ABSITE scores
• Medical school transcript and diploma
• ACGME junior resident case log report
• Up to three letters of recommendation including one from the most recent program director.

Foreign medical graduates must have a current certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter (PTAL) confirming completion of pre-residency requirements.
