This fellowship offers specialized consultation and liaison psychiatry training to provide comprehensive psychiatry care in the critical care setting, inpatient medical, obstetrical and surgical wards, rehabilitation units and ambulatory care settings.
Our program serves to develop medical leaders with expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients with complex medical and psychiatric comorbidities.
Fellows provide specialty psychiatric care in the critical-care setting, inpatient medical, obstetrical and surgical wards and rehabilitation units, as well as at Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Fellows have the opportunity to work in psycho-oncology and/or HIV-specialty ambulatory care settings. Areas of specialized training include cardiovascular medicine, HIV, perinatal psychiatry, psycho-oncology and transplant psychiatry.

Medical Licensing Examination:
All applicants must successfully complete United States Medical Licensing Examination Step 3 prior to the start of the program (a passing report is required). Candidates must be eligible to apply for a Florida medical license.
Postgraduate Training:
There is postgraduate training required in the form of a successfully completed ACGME-accredited general psychiatry program in the U.S. or equivalent in Canada.
