Geriatric Medicine Fellowship

Geriatric Medicine Fellowship

We are recruiting two inaugural fellows to join us in a beautiful area of the country – the “Sunshine State” - with warm winters and ready access to beautiful beaches. In Palm Beach County, the most rapidly growing segment of the population is those 85 and older. The WPVAMC serves over 62,000 Veterans among whom 70% are greater than 65 years old, and has a wide spectrum of Geriatric care facilities and programs that are ideally suited for training the next generation of Geriatricians.

The goals of the Fellowship are to train individuals to become outstanding clinicians who can help alleviate the shortage of health professionals knowledgeable and skilled in the care of older adults in Florida as well as the U.S.; and to provide training opportunities to become clinician-educators and medical administrators, as well as opportunities to develop a focus in scholarship, quality improvement, and research.
