General Surgery Residency

The Surgery Residency Program at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT has an opening for a PGY 4 resident beginning June 21, 2022.

Danbury Hospital is a 456-bed acute care hospital that offers award-winning patient care. We are part of Nuvance Health, a network of seven hospitals and numerous outpatient facilities in the Hudson Valley and Western Connecticut. Our patients benefit from the various multispecialty groups and services across the system. The hospital offers both minimally invasive and robot-assisted surgery and is designated by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) as a Robotic Center of Excellence. The General Surgery Residency at Danbury Hospital is now in its eleventh year since accreditation by the ACGME. We have graduated ten classes of Chief Residents and our prospects are very bright for the future.

Our affiliation with the University of Vermont gives our residents access to clinical and research experiences beyond those of just Danbury Hospital, though we also recently finished a multi-million-dollar research facility.

Prerequisites:

To be eligible for a PGY4 position applicants must have completed PGY1 through PGY3 in an ACGME-accredited program and be in good standing in his/her current program.
