Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship

The overall goal of the training program is to prepare the fellow to function independently as a forensic psychiatrist. The fellow’s competency will be achieved through supervised clinical experiences and didactic instruction by the faculty, and demonstrated by examinations and proficiency in daily work.

Prerequisites:

Medical Licensing Examination:
All applicants must successfully complete United States Medical Licensing Examination Steps 1, 2 and 3 prior to the start of the program.

Postgraduate Training:
There is postgraduate training required in the form of a successfully completed ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency.

  • Summative Evaluation Letter from Psychiatric Residency Training Director
  • Two Additional Letters of Reference
  • USMLE Transcript
  • Valid ECFMG Certificate (if applicable)
  • Dean’s Letter and MSPE
    Copy of Medical Diploma (if available)
  • Copy of Residency Certificate (if available)

Deadline:
Applications are accepted from June 1 until positions are filled. Interview season is typically from July 1 to December 31.
