The mission of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship at UAMS is to improve the health, health care, and well-being of patients with substance use disorders through the State of Arkansas, the nation, and the world by educating physicians to become specialists in the management of substance use disorders and providing high quality, innovative, patient- and family-centered health care.
The fellowship is a one year ACGME accredited program that will lead to board eligibility in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. At completion of the fellowship, the fellow will have expertise in the full continuum of care for patients with substance use disorders and behavioral addictions, including opioid use disorder.
