Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellowship

Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellowship

The Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Colorado is a comprehensive training program comprised of clinical teaching and exposure to research designed to prepare fellows for futures in academic and non-academic medicine. We provide one-on-one education in the performance and interpretation of neuroimaging studies across the pediatric spectrum, from fetal to adolescent life. Fellows will become proficient in both standard and advanced imaging techniques (fMRI, DTI, spectroscopy, perfusion, vessel wall imaging, APT, etc).

Over the course of the year, trainees will participate in a variety of multi-disciplinary conferences, including neurology, epilepsy, stroke, ENT, ophthalmology, genetics/metabolics, and neuro-oncology. They will have the opportunity to spend a one-month rotation with our distinguished neuropathologist, BK Kleinschmidt-DeMasters as well as 1-week observatories with neurosurgery and neuro-intensivists. Fellows participate in 12 weekends of call a year.

Annually, we perform approximately 10,000 MRI and 4,000 CT neuroradiology exams. Current imaging equipment includes 8 MRI scanners (Philips Ingenia 1.5T & 3T) as well as 5 CT scanners.
