The central mission of the UCSD Neurocritical Care Fellowship Program is to train fellows as neurointensivists under a pathway that will enable them to matriculate as sought-after academic neurointensivists with specialized training and expertise in neurocritical care clinical management, administration, education, quality improvement and research.
Fellows will be trained in the primary management of critically ill neurological, neurosurgical, and neurointerventional patients, including procedures such as intubation, bronchoscopy, central and arterial line placement, and continuous EEG and multimodal monitoring. Our program fellowship program is accredited by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties.

Additional information: Please note that physicians practicing medicine in California have to have a California (unrestricted) license. They cannot use any other state license here in California. For a fellowship, they would have to arrive July 1 with a valid California medical license. We only accept J-1 visa.
