The Musculoskeletal Radiology division at UT Southwestern, Dallas, Texas has an unexpected opening for a fellowship position for the academic year 2022-2023.
The Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship in the Department of Radiology at UT Southwestern is a one-year ACGME accredited program that prides itself on its commitment to offering excellent training in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging and procedures in a great place to live and enjoy! Three fellowship positions are available each year. Applicants must meet the requirements for a Texas Medical License (including all three steps of the USMLEs).
The mission of the Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship program is to prepare radiologists for successful careers in either academic or private practice settings, and to become independent subspecialty consultants who are leaders in the field.
The fellowship provides an excellent opportunity to learn from nine MSK fellowship trained faculty, gain expertise in advanced sports imaging, namely- 3DCT, 3D MRI, MR neurography, multi-parametric infection and rheumatology imaging. UTSW MSK Radiology also offers clinic visits to the patients for comprehensive care and longitudinal follow-ups. The fellows completing the program become independent MSK interventionalists and effective teachers in collaborative working with diverse house-staff, faculty, and mid-levels. A critical highlight of the program is combined multidisciplinary conferences with orthopaedics, rheumatology, plastic surgery, hand, sports, and foot and ankle service. We enjoy a friendly work environment and a collegial relationship with the clinicians of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Pathology, Rheumatology, and other departments.
Research opportunities in MSK division are in plenty, and fellows are expected to participate in one or more research projects during their fellowship year. In accordance with this goal, fellows are provided with dedicated academic time and are encouraged to present their research findings at a national meeting and to submit a manuscript detailing their work.
