Our laboratory provides a rich experience in both basic and clinical research for a two year research fellowship to start July 1, 2022. Fellows in our laboratory can engage in a wide variety of basic science and clinical research projects.
Our investigative interests are broad and include developing animal models to study fetal anomalies and testing new innovative therapies to correct those anomalies in utero. Additionally, we study the effects of anesthesia on the fetus, early predictors and preventative therapies of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), various congenital anomalies, and wound healing. Clinically we examine the outcomes of congenital anomalies such as congenital diaphragmatic hernia, sacrococcygeal teratoma, omphalocele and congenital lung masses. There is the opportunity to maintain surgical skills, performing large animal surgery (pigs and sheep) as well as microsurgery.
Interested candidates should send only CV and cover letter describing relevant experience and career goals.
Other materials may be requested at a later date but please do not send any additional materials at this time. Please state explicitly that you can commit to a two-year term of research.
