The UTHealth Department of Emergency Medicine offers a one-year fellowship in Clinician Performed Ultrasound. The fellowship includes didactic and hands-on training in ultrasound physics as well as the primary and advanced indications for sonography performed by the clinician at the bedside.

The UTHealth Department of Emergency Medicine offers a one-year fellowship in Clinician Performed Ultrasound. The fellowship includes didactic and hands-on training in ultrasound physics, primary, and advanced indications for clinician performed ultrasound.

The US section faculty is a motivated group with a diverse training background. All experts in basic bedside applications of ultrasound with individual interest including advanced echocardiography, musculoskeletal sonography, sonography in the resource limited setting, pediatrics, research, multimedia, and education.

Highlights

  • Applications accepted year-round
  • Fellowship start date: July 1
  • Stipend $1/2 full time Faculty Salary
  • Clinical obligation: 56 hours per month as attending physician in Memorial Hermann-TMC and/or Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital
  • Continuing Medical Education: $5,000.
