Epilepsy Fellowship

The Epilepsy Fellowship at Rush University provides advanced training in epilepsy and electroencephalography, or EEG. This one-year fellowship is designed for those who wish to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in the comprehensive management of people with epilepsy and related disorders.

During the Epilepsy Fellowship, you will become proficient in the following:

  • Interpreting EEGs and prolonged video EEG recordings in people with epilepsy
  • Interpreting prolonged video EEGs of patients in the neurological intensive care unit
  • Managing patients in the epilepsy clinic-adults and children and inpatient epilepsy unit
  • Performing pre-surgical work up and interpreting intracranial electrode recordings
  • Brain stimulation treatments of epilepsy
  • Treatment of non-epileptic spells
  • Conducting clinical research
  • Teaching residents and fellows

Prerequisites:

We offer one to two positions each year to eligible candidates who have completed an ACGME-accredited neurology residency program.
