The Pediatric Radiology Fellowship is a one-year, comprehensive educational experience involving all pediatric imaging modalities, including CT (16-64 detector), MR (1.5T and 3T), ultrasound, fluoroscopy, radiography, nuclear medicine/PET-CT and interventional procedures. Fellows gain experience in advanced techniques of pediatric imaging including fetal MR, cardiovascular imaging (CT and MR), MR urography, MR enterography and MR cholangiography. They also gain experience in neuroimaging, including spectroscopy, diffusion tensor imaging, tractography and functional brain imaging and digital 3D image rendition and processing. The fellowship emphasizes technique and radiation dose optimization for specific imaging tasks.
The Division of Pediatric Imaging offers a multidisciplinary environment with fellows interacting daily with all pediatric subspecialties. Our patient care facilities include the Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units, inpatient ward floors, outpatient centers on the main campus and at multiple peripheral sites and a satellite pediatric imaging center at our Waltham location. Our division’s medical staff is comprised of six attending pediatric radiologists, a dedicated pediatric radiology nursing team, daily support from Pediatric Anesthesia and a radiology child life specialist.
