At Ben Taub Hospital, we perform approximately 3,500 deliveries, and majority of our obstetric patients are high-risk or critically ill parturients. We have become a center of excellence for our Harris Health patients with placenta accreta because of the outstanding care rendered by the perinatal team at Ben Taub.
Ben Taub is one of the referral centers in the South East Texas for patients opting for vaginal birth after cesarean. Our VBAC case load has increased exponentially in the last few years and our success rate for VBAC deliveries is 72 percent.
