Vascular Surgery Fellowship

Vascular Surgery Fellowship

The Englewood Health Vascular Fellowship Program is ACGME accredited for two-year postgraduate training leading to Board eligibility in all aspects of vascular therapies. This includes the entire spectrum of open and endovascular procedures, diagnostics, medical treatments and eligibility for certification in ultrasonics. The fellows work with residents as a team and enjoy their relationship with the attending staff that includes, in addition to the vascular faculty, interventionists and cardiologists. The Program has a long history dating to 1978 and currently functions as a component of the Heart and Vascular Institute that fosters a working relationship between the specialties. Additional team work with an active podiatric service that boasts a full-training program plus a Wound Center and hyperbaric chamber, add to the overall experience of the fellows. The operating room suite possesses two state of the art hybrid rooms that enable treatment of even the most complex vascular pathologies. Fellows are encouraged to participate in a variety of research projects and are assisted in their academic pursuits including manuscript preparation. Completion of the program prepares the trainee to become certified by the American Board of Vascular Surgery and to pursue a career in academia and/or clinical practice.
