Pediatric Radiology Fellowship Program

The Pediatric Radiology Fellowship Training program at UAB is an ACGME accredited one-year program based at the Children’s of Alabama, located in Birmingham and attached to University Hospital. Children’s of Alabama serves the greater southeastern United States and is the only medical center in Alabama dedicated solely to the care and treatment of children.

This one-year program provides advanced training in all pediatric imaging modalities with the clinical curriculum consisting of several rotations:

• 8 weeks EACH of the following core rotations: CT, Fluoroscopy, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Outpatient Studies, Ultrasound
• 4 weeks of Elective Time (Pediatric Interventional, Sports Medicine, or any of the core rotations)

Prerequisites:

Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the program:

• Completed LCME-approved US or Canadian medical school, or AOA-accredited Osteopathic medical school
• Satisfactory completion of an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
• Passing scores on USMLE Steps 1, 2 and 3
