Hand Surgery Fellowship

The Indiana University School of Medicine Hand Surgery Fellowship is pleased to announce an open position to begin on August 1, 2022 and August 1, 2023.

Fellows will have the opportunity to train with 8 orthopaedic and plastic hand surgeons from a variety of fellowship backgrounds. Our group cares for the full breadth of hand and upper extremity problems including brachial plexus injuries, congenital hand differences, pediatric hand injuries, complex trauma, replantations, and elective hand issues. IU is the largest referral center in Indiana, and Fellows will have the chance to operate at two Level 1 Adult Trauma Centers, a Level 1 Children’s Hospital, and several ambulatory surgery centers. Fellows receive benefits and pay in line with the IU GME fellowship programs and take minimal primary call. The IUSM campus is located near downtown Indianapolis with a variety of housing options, restaurants, parks, sporting venues and adult/family entertainment nearby.

Prerequisites:

Eligible candidates must have graduated from an ACGME-accredited plastic surgery or orthopaedic surgery program in the United States/Canada and passed all steps of the USMLE before starting the fellowship.
