Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive and fulfilling training program in the field of geriatric psychiatry and aging by means of diverse clinical care, individual supervision, small group seminars and case conferences, as well as clinical and scholarly research participation.

Here at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital, we have a long and proud history of training outstanding geriatric psychiatrists to target the needs of this rapidly growing population. Our graduates count themselves among the best-trained geriatric psychiatrists in the country, and all will agree that they feel more-than-confident entering the workforce with the skills and expertise acquired over the course of our University of Miami/Jackson Health System Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program.

Prerequisites:

Medical Licensing Examination:
All applicants must successfully complete United States Medical Licensing Examination Steps 1, 2 and 3 prior to the start of the program.

Postgraduate Training:
There is postgraduate training required in the form of a successfully completed ACGME-accredited residency program in general psychiatry.

Deadline:
Interviews are conducted from August to December.
