Advanced Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging Fellowship

The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Ohio State University is offering a fully funded fellowship in Advanced Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging. The senior fellowship will offer advanced training in transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography, as well as MRI and CT. Fellows will be exposed to a high-volume of complex patients within all modalities. The advanced imaging curriculum will be tailored to an applicant’s interests and may include emphasis on any of these modalities, as well as having additional opportunities in other areas, such as quality improvement. Our robust QI program reviews fetal, transthoracic and transesophageal echoes on a quarterly basis in an effort to further develop our imaging and interpretation proficiency.

The advanced fellow is expected to participate in research, with resources and support to produce abstracts and manuscripts over the course of the year. Developing teaching and research skills in the field of cardiac imaging will be heavily emphasized, with the intention to produce a trainee who is well prepared to begin an academic career in pediatric cardiac imaging.

Prerequisites:

Applicants should have successfully completed or be on track to successfully complete a three- year core pediatric cardiology fellowship in an accredited training program.
