Abdominal Imaging Fellowship

A one-year, cross-sectional, abdominal imaging fellowship is offered in the Department of Radiology at the UC Irvine Medical Center, providing an emphasis on cross-sectional abdominal imaging with coordinated experience in CT, Ultrasound, MRI and image-guided procedures (three positions). The fellow will participate in CT and ultrasound guided interventional procedures. The fellowship will also provide vast experience in Doppler vascular ultrasound including transplant imaging. Participation in the department's ongoing research projects and publication is encouraged. Fellows are expected to submit at least one presentation in both the RSNA and ARRS meetings. Successful applicants will be clinical instructors in the School of Medicine, and will actively participate in the teaching of UC Irvine residents and medical students, as well as participate in several interdisciplinary conferences. There will be four faculty members supervising the fellowship.

Prerequisites:

At the time of matriculation, it is mandatory to have a valid State of California medical license, as well as a State of California Radiography and Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit, to participate in the fellowships.
