Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship

A one-year fellowship is offered in musculoskeletal radiology (two positions). This fellowship provides experience in image guided interventional orthopedic procedures, including arthrography, joint aspiration, soft tissue and bone biopsy techniques, and orthopedic pain management procedures (steroid and anesthetic injections). Experience is available in radiofrequency bone tumor ablation and vertebroplasty. Advanced training is provided in interpretation of musculoskeletal radiography, CT and MRI. The fellows will participate in the teaching of UC Irvine residents and medical students, actively participate in interdisciplinary conferences and take an active part in the ongoing research projects and publications of the section. There will be three faculty members supervising the fellowship.

The Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship Program at UCI participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).

Prerequisites:

At the time of matriculation, it is mandatory to have a valid State of California medical license, as well as a State of California Radiography and Fluoroscopy Supervisor and Operator Permit, to participate in the fellowships.
