Breast Imaging Fellowship

Breast Imaging Fellowship

A one-year fellowship position at the University of Rochester is available beginning July 2021. Breast imaging services are primarily provided at our Red Creek Breast Care Center with some ancillary services offered at Strong Memorial Hospital. The center utilizes state of the art equipment and techniques utilizing digital mammography, conventional mammography, breast ultrasound, and a high field MRI with dedicated breast coil.

The fellowship is a one year non-accredited program that provides a large volume and variety of screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, and breast MRis. Fellows will gain experience in interventional procedures, preoperative needle localizations, stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI-guided biopsies, cyst and abscess drainage, and ductograms.

Rotations are at URMC and outpatient sites including the Highland Breast Imaging Center, and fellows participate in a variety of conferences, including the weekly Breast Tumor Conference at the Pluta Cancer Center. In addition, fellows are expected to engage in resident teaching, and have multiple research opportunities.
