We are pleased to announce a physician training opportunity in Pediatric & Reproductive Environmental Health. This combined Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School Fellowship is currently recruiting for 1 position with a start date on July 1, 2021. Off-cycle candidates will also be considered.
The Program’s goal is train physician-scholars who are prepared to lead efforts to address the needs of children and pregnant and lactating women affected by environmental hazards and climate change. The program focuses on clinical instruction in children’s environmental health, women’s reproductive environmental health, and fundamentals of environmental toxicology. It intends to build core competencies in environmental health. The program emphasizes clinical service delivery, teaching, mastering of scientific curricular content and grant-writing skills, advanced training in biostatistics and epidemiology, development of advocacy skills, critical review of the environmental health literature, risk assessment, and risk communication.

The 2-year postgraduate program is for physicians who are in or have completed a residency or fellowship program with an emphasis on a pediatrics-related specialty. The training program is carried out in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Board eligibility or certification in pediatrics required.
Application requires submission of an application form, transcript, updated CV, 1-page narrative, and three letters of recommendation, one of which should be from training program director. Virtual site visits only for interviews. Completed applications and all letters are due by December 31, 2020.
