Cytopathology Fellowship

University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Pathology in now accepting applications for their Cytopathology Fellowship Program for academic year 2022-2023.

This fellowship provides one year of advanced training in diagnostic cytopathology and the performance of fine needle aspirations under the supervision of three board certified cytopathologists. The fellow will perform fine needle aspirations and provide interpretations in radiologic and clinical settings with supervision. The cytopathology service evaluates 20,000 gynecologic Pap tests and 5,000 non-gynecologic specimens, including 1,700 fine needle aspiration specimens per year. Fellows assume graduated responsibility throughout the year. The fellow will also learn research and quality assurance principles, and design and conduct a project in each area during their programmatic year.

Prerequisites:

Preference will be given to candidates who are Board certified or are eligible for certification by the American Board of Pathology in anatomic pathology or anatomic and clinical pathology.
