Breast Imaging Fellowship

Breast Imaging Fellowship

Montefiore-Einstein’s one-year Breast Imaging Fellowship Program offers comprehensive training in all areas of breast imaging. Our fellows are integral to the breast imaging radiology team, and work alongside members of the Departments of Breast Surgery, Oncology, Pathology and other specialties to create the best possible outcome for each patient.Fellows work with state-of-the-art technology in a friendly and supportive environment where they are exposed to a broad spectrum of pathology, a high volume of cases and many research opportunities. Fellows gain expertise in interpreting screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound and breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Over the course of their training, fellows become proficient in performing image-guided procedures, including stereotactic, ultrasound and MR-guided biopsies and needle localizations. The Breast Imaging Fellowship combines extensive hands-on experience with comprehensive didactic training and research. Fellows also present cases at the multidisciplinary breast tumor board and participate in teaching residents and medical students. Opportunities are available for fellows to take part in or spearhead ongoing research projects.
