Musculoskeletal Imaging

The Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship Program at Montefiore-Einstein is an ACGME-accredited, one-year program providing in-depth academic and hands-on training in all aspects of clinical musculoskeletal radiology. Fellows are exposed to a high volume of cases with a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal pathology, and have access to state-of-the-art technology, a stimulating working environment and ample research opportunities. One new fellow is sponsored each year.

Fellows review plain films, CT studies and MRI examinations, and learn to perform and interpret musculoskeletal sonographic studies. Over the course of their fellowship, they become experts in both diagnostic and interventional image-guided procedures. Our fellows work closely with both faculty and trainees, reviewing cases directly with attending and teaching students. A constant focus on feedback and improvement help guide fellows toward excellence in clinical care, consultation and patient-centered medicine.

Fellows function as an integral part of the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging, working with clinical staff in orthopedics, rheumatology, physical and rehabilitation medicine, oncology, endocrinology, pathology and other specialties. This comprehensive clinical experience, coupled with our intense didactic curriculum, has led to a 100-percent post-fellowship placement rate.
