The post-residency clinical fellowship is comprised of a one-year subspecialty training program provided by three laryngeal surgeons and four PhD staff scientists at Massachusetts General Hospital. Fellows participate in the clinical and research efforts as a member of a multidisciplinary team (voice scientists and speech pathologists) and receive training using state-of-the-art voice clinic and surgical-engineering laboratory facilities. The trainees will be provided with a comprehensive experience so that they can develop and lead other academic centers of excellence. Three candidates are accepted per year.

Candidates must have completed a residency in Otolaryngology—head and neck surgery—by the time of their matriculation as a clinical fellow. If residency training was completed in a foreign country, the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) steps 1 – 3 must be successfully completed prior to applying for the fellowship.
