General Surgery Residency-Preliminary Position

The Emory University general surgery residency program is looking to fill a PGY-2 preliminary position to start duties on July 1, 2023 for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Prerequisites:

All applicants must be current PGY-2 surgery residents in good standing in an ACGME-accredited residency in either general surgery, integrated vascular surgery, or integrated cardiac surgery. Consideration will be given to trainees in research programs who have completed a PGY-2 year within the past 18 months. Our need for the position is due to residency preliminary transitions.

• Current CV
• Medical school diploma
• Medical school transcript
• USMLE Transcript (a first-time pass on all three exams is required)
• ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
• Defined Category Case Log Report
• 3 current letters of recommendation, 1 from current Program Director (can be sent as separate files)
• ABSITE Score Reports
• If completed, FLS and/or FES certification
