Thank you for your interest in the Nutrition and Metabolism Fellowship program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). This is a one-year, non-ACGME program designed to provide clinical and research training in prevention and treatment of cardiometabolic disease, including obesity, lipids, type 2 diabetes, and nutrition.
Graduates will acquire the competencies enter either clinical or academic practice to practice health promotion, disease prevention, care, and treatment for a diverse patient population of all genders–from adolescence to old age–to improve cardiometabolic health and promote healthy aging. The program offers training and experience in both quality improvement and clinical research.
