The University of Michigan Plastic Surgery Program is seeking a trainee for an NIH funded T32 surgical scientist training grant in translational research.
The trainee would be joining a comprehensive bench to bedside research program that consists of over six (6) different surgical investigators supervised by Dr. Steven Buchman. The trainee will have access to world class translational researchers who will serve as mentors for a trainee who aspires to be an academic surgeon with an interest in translational bench research. This is a two (2) year position.
Eligible candidates must be a US citizen or a permanent resident with proof of their citizenship as well as have completed a minimum of two (2) years of surgery training in any of the surgical disciplines.
Candidates should submit their application, which includes a personal statement and copies of medical licensure as well as a CV and three letters of recommendation (one should be from your residency program director).
Application deadline is November 15, 2022. Interviewing will begin as soon as possible. The selected applicant will start July 1, 2023.
