General Surgery Residency - Categorical Position

Creighton University Surgical Residency Program in Omaha, NE has an unexpected immediate opening for a Categorical PGY 3 level categorical resident to start duties this Fall.

Prerequisites:

Qualified applicants must have successfully completed PGY-1 and PGY-2 training at an ACGME accredited General Surgery residency program within the last 3 years, and have passed SMLE Steps 1-3 on the first attempt. No exceptions will be made to the required documents. No phone calls please.

3. Medical School Diploma
4. Medical school transcript (IMG's please provide notarized copy of translated version)
5. MSPE letter (IMG’s please provide a notarized copy of translated version)
6. Official score report for USMLE Steps I, II & III (All must be passed on first attempt)
7. ABSITE scores for each (PGY 1, 2) year
8. 3 current letters of recommendation,
9. Your annual summative ACGME competency-based evaluation reports from PGY-1 and PGY-2 training years
10. Updated and current ACGME Case Log System Defined Category report
11. Rotation schedules for both PGY years
12. Current ECFMG Certification, if applicable
13. Proof of citizenship/visa/immigration status (Permanent Resident Card w/Exp. Date, EAD w/Exp. Date and Type: Research/Specific Training/Perm Res)
14. Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications.
