Our mission is to provide advanced, in-depth training in gastrointestinal pathology. We seek to train pathologists to attain the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to become excellent gastrointestinal pathologists.
Our Selective Pathology – Gastrointestinal/Hepatic Pathology Fellowship is a one-year, ACGME- approved program. The program is both clinically and academically oriented and focused on development of diagnostic skills in the areas of gastrointestinal, liver and pancreas pathology, including neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases. Our division provides a robust volume of excellent and diverse materials for the education of our clinical fellows. In addition to acquiring microscopic diagnostic skills, our fellows supervise the pathology residents’ grossing and previewing of cases before signing out the cases with the attending pathologist.
