STAR Center Simulation Fellowship

STAR Center Simulation Fellowship

The SSH accredited Simulation Teaching And Research Center (STAR Center) Fellowship in Simulation and Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is a unique two-year experience. Through a combination of undergraduate, resident, faculty, and inter-professional simulation and medical education programs, we have created a unique opportunity for our fellows to learn with, from, and about all aspects of education.

The STAR Center Simulation Fellowship focuses on preparing the next generation of physician educators. Our curriculum covers principles of adult-learning theory, simulation and other curriculum design and development, implementation of medical education programs, debriefing, and learner assessment. Fellows will work with leaders in residency and undergraduate education and simulation. They will have the opportunity to publish their work in peer-reviewed journals and present at local and national conferences.

Fellows in the program will also have the opportunity to become knowledgeable in simulation-based technologies, AV system and other education technology, and will participate in the daily operations of the STAR Center.
