The University of Florida in Jacksonville has a vacant one year Surgical Critical Care Fellowship position for the 2023-2024 academic year
In addition to rotations in the SICU, MICU, PICU and NeuroICU, we also offer rotations in Burns, CVICU and Trauma. Our annual trauma volume is over 4,000 patients with about 15% penetrating in addition to a busy emergency general surgery service based on an Acute Care Surgery model that cares for approximately 1,500 consults annually. We are a tertiary referral center for critically ill patients in the northeast Florida and southeast Georgia region including those in need of ECMO support (run by our Acute Care Surgery service) as well as diaphragmatic pacemaker placement.
