The MIS Foregut program at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA has an open 1 year fellowship position starting August 1, 2020. The program supports a total of three fellows who receive focused training in foregut disease.
Fellows will work with five staff surgeons who provide comprehensive surgical and endoscopic training in the treatment of GERD; motility disorders; Zenker's diverticulum; hiatal hernias; and esophageal and gastric cancers. In addition to advanced laparoscopic training, there is opportunity for robotic training as well.
The program also includes extensive training in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, including POEM, RFA, EMR, ESD, stenting, VLE. In addition to the clinical experience, fellows have the opportunity to work with the robust research department to develop projects that often are presented at national conferences including DDW, ACS and AFS.
