Burn Fellowship

The Stanley M. Levenson, MD Burn Center of Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine invites applications for an unexpected opening in its burn fellowship training program commencing now.

Jacobi Medical Center is the burn referral center for New York City Health and Hospitals. Clinical responsibilities include managing burn ICU patients, assisting in the O.R., staffing burn, plastics, and hand clinics, covering the emergency department, and teaching residents and medical students. Research is encouraged. As the burn service functions under the auspices of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, there necessarily is a heavy plastic and reconstructive surgical experience. It is ideally suited for clinical post graduate trainees preparing for careers in general or plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Prerequisites:

Completion of no less than PGY 1 and PGY 2 in an ACGME approved general surgery program is a minimal prerequisite for consideration. Board eligibility is favored. VISA sponsorship is available.
