General Surgery Residency - Categorical Position

The Department of Surgery at Michigan Medicine, the academic medical center of University of Michigan, has a vacant categorical PGY-4 position. It is an ACGME approved position.

The mission of the University of Michigan General Surgery Program prioritizes excellence and innovation in patient care, education, scientific inquiry, professional development, and a culture of inclusion. To accomplish our mission, we intentionally develop autonomy for our residents in the expert clinical care of diverse and complex patients with innovative techniques, by providing additional mentored training in research and leadership, and by maintaining a focus on developing each resident to their full potential. Residents completing training at the University of Michigan are well positioned for highly competitive fellowship programs and many go on to leadership positions at academic surgical programs.

Prerequisites:

Interested candidates must have successfully completed PGY-1, 2, and 3 years in General Surgery and be in good standing within their current ACGME accredited program.
