General Surgery Residency - Categorical Position

Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack New Jersey is seeking to fill a vacant Categorical PGY-3 General Surgery Resident position to begin on June 24, 2022. This position became available because a resident will be going out on a two year research sabbatical.

Prerequisites:

Applicants must have completed two consecutive years of surgical training and must have completed a designated PGY -2 year preferably all in the same training program.

4. USMLE transcript MUST HAVE TAKEN AND PASSED STEP 3 and passed all exams on first try
5. Personal statement as to why you are leaving your current program
6. List of all Rotations Completed in the TWO Years of training
7. Summative Evaluation
8. Case log; Defined Category Report, PGY 2 250 Minimum Case Report, Critical Care Case Index Report
9. 3 letters of recommendation - 1 from current Program Director
10. Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
11. Medical school diploma & Medical school transcript
